Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.27.30 PMCan you believe we have just over one month of school left in the 2012-13 school year? Summer is approaching fast, and I know many of you are making plans to “sharpen the saw.”  Whether you are vacationing this summer or enjoying a staycation with your family, I hope you have a chance to recharge. It is also my hope as you recharge, you will find time to learn something new. With that in mind, I am proud to be able to share this Summer Academy brochure with everyone.

First of all, thank you to the 115 employees who completed the Summer Academy Workshop Interest Survey! Your input was critical as we determined how to best structure our 2013 Summer Academy offerings. I believe we have developed sessions which meet all of the needs identified through the survey.

I would also like to thank our employees who are facilitating sessions this summer. I appreciate the instructional leadership our presenters are demonstrating through their willingness to share with colleagues. We know professional development sessions taught by our own staff members are the most productive learning opportunities. With the combined efforts of teachers, administrators, nurses, psychologists, and secretaries, we are offering over 30 sessions.  WOW!  We have sessions which relate to content, pedagogy, technology, and health/wellness.

In the attached brochure below, you will see face to face, online, and blended learning opportunities. We continue to work at modeling various instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of our learners.  Directions for registration are included in the brochure. Please join us as we think, learn, and grow together!
