Summer Building Project 2015 – UPDATE

At its August 19 meeting, the Salisbury Township School District appointed three new administrators to lead its schools. Mr. Ken Parliman was appointed Principal of Salisbury Middle School, Mr. Rob Sawicki was appointed Assistant Principal of Salisbury Middle School, and Mr. Zachary Brem was appointed Principal of Harry S Truman Elementary School.

Mr. Parliman is starting his 15th year in public education, having served as Salisbury Middle School Assistant Principal for the past 7 years. Prior to Salisbury, he spent 7 years in the Allentown School District as 8th grade mathematics teacher, mathematics coach and Assistant Principal.

Mr. Sawicki is beginning his 14th year in education, the past 6 as social studies teacher at Salisbury Middle School. Prior to Salisbury, Mr. Sawicki taught in the East Stroudsburg Area School District, the Bethlehem Area School District and East Penn School District.

Mr. Brem comes to Salisbury from the Allentown School District with 12 years of experience in public education – 10 as a teacher and 2 as a school leader, most recently Assistant Principal for Union Terrace Elementary School and Acting Principal for Ritter Elementary School. Prior to his administrative work he was Instructional Support Coach and Head Teacher at Washington Elementary School.

Many Salisbury teachers and administrators participated in the 2015 Bucks-Lehigh EduSummit, both as presenters and participants.The EduSummit is a collaboration with local districts, IUs and professional organizations.
