Earlier this month I shared a post outlining the District’s communication and social media tools. The video embedded below provides an overview of those same tools and encourages stakeholders to join the conversation.
Most of the tools outlined in the video are available publicly. We encourage the Salisbury community to engage using social media in accordance with the District’s Social Media Guidelines located at http://www.stsd.org/guidelines.
Remember Social Media Week is taking place during Staff Appreciation Week, May 6-10. Learn more about the activities for Social Media Week by visiting this post.
This semester 7th grade students participated in an exciting program called All Stars. All Stars is a component of PROSPER, a project in which Salisbury Township School District has been participating since 2002. The program was conducted by Nicole Alias from Valley Youth House. Students were involved in the program once a week for 13 weeks.
Click on the video above to learn more about the Salisbury Middle School All Stars program. The video highlights key components of the All Stars program and shows our students sharing their thoughts and feelings at the conclusion of the program.
All Stars helps students identify positive ideals, establish positive norms, build personal commitments, develop goal setting, decision-making, and communication skills, and strengthen bonds between students and their school. The ultimate goal of the program is to deter the development of risky behaviors.
